The crater glaze is for the those exploring surfaces and wanting achieve imperfections on purpose. It is not food safe and is only for decorative purposes.It works best with three coats fired to 1220 over a 10 hr firing. Slower firings will yield results but the crater is less obvious. There are a lot of variabilities when it comes to lava glazes, so like all glazes I recommend testing beforehand.
